Block Diagram

The following diagram presents the main blocks inside the beRTK Base Station. In this diagram, red blocks can be seen (representing power supply and management), yellow blocks (representing control), green blocks (representing peripherals) and blue blocks (representing communications):

Battery1,2: two 7.4V, 1070mAh, Li-ion batteries, hot-swappable;

External Power Converter: voltage converter capable of transforming the input 8-21V into 7.0V;

Power Selection: power selection module, capable of automatically selecting between external power supply (primary), battery1 (secondary) or battery 2 (tertiary) as voltage source, depending on the availability of these sources;

Power Switch: on/off system power switch;

Voltage Converter: responsible for converting the 6-8V power source into 5V for system usage;

HMI: (HMI) human-machine interface, containing the battery status and external power supply indication;

GNSS Receiver: the positioning module itself;

CPU Board: the “brains” of the system. Controls the positioning module. Its configuration and the messages that are being exchanged;

RTK Radio Link: the radio link used to broadcast the RTK information. In this case, the IEEE 802.4.15 protocol is used, in the frequency band of 2.4GHz;

WiFi Transceiver: WiFi Transceiver module, so that the Base Station can use the WiFi network (if available) to connect to the system’s web platform.
